A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Junior Technology Analyst (f/m/d), you will support the Technology Manager by gathering, structuring, and maintaining technology scouting intelligence across emerging technologies, startups, research developments, market signals, and innovation ecosystems relevant to Grid Technologies. Your typical day will involve monitoring technology domains, conducting desk research, and preparing technology opportunity profiles. You will play a key role in ensuring that external signals are captured consistently and translated into clear inputs for further assessment, contributing to the PRM Technology Radar and other analytical activities. How You’ll Make an Impact* Monitor selected technology domains, startups, research institutions, publications, and market developments relevant to Grid Technologies
- Capture early technology signals and maintain structured scouting inputs across H1–H4 horizons
- Maintain and update Technology Radar entries, ensuring consistent documentation of technology signals and assessment status
- Support preparation for interactions with startups, universities, and research institutes, including background notes and technology summaries
- Maintain scouting records and briefing materials in the central repository, preparing concise summaries and visual inputs for technology briefings
- Use digital and AI-enabled tools to improve searchability, synthesis, and reuse of technology intelligence What You Bring* Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, technology management, business, innovation management, data analytics, or a related field
- First expereinces in technology scouting, research, strategy, innovation, R&D, consulting, or market intelligence
- Very good understanding of research and the technology of Siemens Energy, with a willingness to learn more
- Curiosity for emerging technologies, energy systems, grid technologies, startups, and innovation ecosystems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure information and summarize complex topics clearly
- Fluent in English, with good communication skills and attention to detail
