Data Center Technician (Mechanical) Middenmeer

At our Middenmeer facility inNoord-Holland, we keep hyperscale operations running with our dedicated team.We are looking for a hands-on Data Centre Technician to join the on-site team.This is a generalist technician role with a clear mechanical focus: you willspend most of your time on cooling and HVAC systems, from precision airconditioning units and chillers to pumps. You will also support broaderfacility tasks as part of a multidisciplinary operations crew. With yourtechnical insight, you ensure that all work is carried out safely, accurately,and in accordance with applicable standards. What You Will Do

Your day-to-day work, during officehours, centers on keeping mechanical and cooling infrastructure in peakcondition across the campus. Concretely, that means:

‒ Carry out planned preventativemaintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems, including computer room airconditioning (CRAC/CRAH) units, chillers, pumps, pipework, and pressurizationunits.

‒ Respond to mechanical faultsand alarms, diagnose root causes, and carry out corrective repairs to maintaindata center temperature and humidity within defined parameters.

‒ Perform daily site inspectionsof cooling plant and auxiliary systems, logging findings and escalatinganomalies promptly.

‒ Support commissioning,decommissioning, and change-management activities under permit-to-workcontrols.

‒ Work alongside specialistcontractors during planned maintenance, overseeing compliance with CBREprocedures and the Master Service Agreement.

‒ Maintain accurate andup-to-date maintenance records, completing all required documentation in the computerizedmaintenance management system (CMMS).

‒ Assist with general facilityand electrical tasks as required, contributing to the overall reliability ofthe data center.

‒ Complete all mandatorytraining, including mechanical safety, refrigerant handling, and site-specificinductions. What You Will Need

‒ A recognized technicalqualification in mechanical engineering, HVAC, refrigeration, or a relateddiscipline, or equivalent experience gained through a formal apprenticeship.

‒ 1 to 2 years of hands-onexperience in mechanical or HVAC maintenance, ideally within a criticalenvironment such as a data center, hospital, or industrial plant.

‒ Sound knowledge of coolingsystems including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and associated pipework andpumping systems.

‒ F-gas certification orequivalent refrigerant-handling qualification is an advantage.

‒ Familiarity with permit-to-worksystems.

‒ Ability to read mechanicalschematics and P&ID drawings.

‒ Good English communicationskills (Dutch is an advantage), with the ability to exchange clear informationwith colleagues, contractors, and management.

‒ Working knowledge of MicrosoftOffice applications.

‒ Strong organizational skillsand an eye for detail.
