As a Cost Estimator - Fleet Support Proposal, you are a vital part of our Life Cycle Support team. You prepare specifications and cost calculations as a part of proposals or tenders for Refits and Fleet Support, in close co-operation with internal and external stakeholders. You respect the Client wishes, technical requirements, (national and international) valid procedures, guidelines and applicable law and rules & regulations.
Main stakeholders:
Project Managers Refit and Fleet Support, Project Buyer Life Cycle Support, Planning and Client representatives.
What will your challenges be?
- You visit yachts of the (older) Oceanco fleet or other brands, together with a responsible (Project) Manager to discuss the scope of work
- You review client wishes and (technical) requirements with internal and external stakeholders
- You gather all relevant and necessary information
- You discuss risks and (technical) problem areas and suggest mitigating actions and or alternatives
- You prepare specifications and develop an integral budget (project, change orders etc.) and write sales related documentation, which you submit to responsible project manager for approval.
- You take into account all relevant national and international valid procedures, guidelines and applicable law and rules & regulations
- You analyse the actual project data in relation to the prepared cost calculation in order to continuously improve the accuracy of the cost calculations
- You actively contribute to achieve the common goals by improving collaboration between various organizational units
What do we ask for?
- Fluent in English; Dutch speaking is desired
- HBO or WO Mechanical, Maritime or Finance
- 5 years’ experience in ship/yacht building industry
- Solid technical know-how in yacht shipbuilding
- Solid experience with costs calculation
- Solid experience with finance
- You recognize yourself in the following competences: Communication, Taking responsibility, Anticipating, Decisiveness, Collaboration
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications with expert Excel skills
