Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Specialist Procurement - Site Services, you will drive sourcing and category strategies across a broad portfolio of Site Services categories, including Facility Management, Industrial Gases, Energy, Utilities, Waste Management, MRO, Real Estate, and Plant Services. As part of the Animal Health Global Supplier Management (AH GSM) Site Services team, you will partner with procurement, site, finance, and supplier stakeholders to deliver value, strengthen supplier performance, mitigate risk, and ensure operational continuity across the global Animal Health network.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and execute global, regional, and site-level category strategies.
- Lead sourcing projects and supplier performance programs end-to-end.
- Influence and align stakeholders across a global matrix organization.
- Deliver cost savings, supply continuity, supplier improvement, and sustainability objectives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams and engage senior stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Manage sourcing and transformation initiatives, including planning, risk management, and change management.
- Leverage data and analytics to support sourcing decisions and performance tracking.
- Incorporate sustainability and supplier diversity objectives into category strategies.
- Ensure adherence to procurement governance, systems, and contract management processes.
Tasks and responsibilities
Primary Activities for Non-IFM Categories
(e.g., Industrial Gases, Laundry, Waste Management)
- Conduct supplier and market analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
- Develop cost models and purchase price analyses to support sourcing decisions.
- Prepare and lead supplier negotiations.
- Manage RFIs, RFPs, and sourcing events.
- Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across Animal Health Manufacturing.
- Share best practices and procurement expertise across the organization.
Primary Activities for Energy Category Execution
- Implement global energy strategies across Animal Health sites, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- Lead end-to-end energy sourcing activities,in partnership with the Global Category Management Team and Global External Energy Advisor (third party running the sourcing process), including RFIs/RFPs, supplier onboarding, due diligence contracting.
- Manage energy-related projects and support renewable energy initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Ensure timely execution and management of Energy Utilities contracts.
- Serve as the primary procurement contact for Animal Health energy stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions where needed.
- Support governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires strong procurement, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex global environment and drive value through cost efficiency, sustainability, innovation, and supplier excellence.
What we ask
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing category strategies that deliver measurable cost savings, operational improvements and supplier performance uplift.
- Strong project management experience, successfully leading multi-stakeholder sourcing initiatives from initiation to implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with stakeholders in a matrix organization; ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive transformational change.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to build networks across different chains of command.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and data-driven decision making.
- Comfortable working with international and remote teams.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Copilot) required.
- Experience with Ariba (sourcing, contracting, vendor master data) preferred.
