Amentum is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Analyst to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing vehicle maintenance and repair operations for a large fleet of military/civilian assets including, but not limited to, line haul, vertical handling, material handling, light and heavy vehicles, and/or construction equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute vehicle maintenance and recovery operations in accordance with applicable contract requirements, company policies, government regulations, and military standards.
- Manage the administration, maintenance, and distribution of approved publications, warranties, and government required documentation such as Lost, Theft, Damaged, and Destroyed (LTDD) and Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) reports.
- Ensure assets are properly utilized and all odometer reading are up to date and documented in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Coordinate with managers, directors, military personnel suppliers, and vendors for warranty issues and cross leveling of assets, to ensure scheduled maintenance, reporting and tracking of all assets are completed within the appropriate timelines allotted.
- Ensure vehicles are maintenance in accordance with the MFG and/or Military levels -10, -20/-30 levels of scheduled maintenance.
- Monitor and verify that all repairs are recorded and documented appropriately and ensure reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Implement budgeting, analysis, and reporting for the maintenance operation, track burn rates and equipment usage, maintain appropriate stock levels, and maximize cost avoidance measures.
- Evaluate and provide for team development and enforce guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of assigned employees.
- Required to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of maintenance and supply principles, production, and US military maintenance support systems for material handling, heavy truck, and/or heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of GCSS-Army maintenance production, production control, and maintenance support systems and procedures.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, equipment parts acquisition, and warranty, LTDD, and ECOD submissions.
- Proficient in GCSS-Army Maintenance Management Business Area Module.
- Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations such as the Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational, Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Military Standards.
- Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in logistics support of equipment maintenance with at least three (3) years in a maintenance management role utilizing GCSS-Army Maintenance Business Area.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or associated discipline; may substitute two (2) years’ experience in related field for each year of college.
- Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
- Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
- Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
- Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
- Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Working Environment
This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.
Physical Requirements
Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
