GEODIS is a global logistics provider, offering end-to-end supply chain solutions. In this role, you will be the face of GEODIS to prospective freight customers, helping them navigate the complexities of international logistics while expanding our market presence.
As a Hunter Sales professional at GEODIS, you are responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing new freight forwarding business opportunities. Your primary focus will be on growing our customer base and increasing revenue through proactive sales activities within the logistics and freight forwarding sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Customer Acquisition: Aggressively identify and approach potential clients needing international and domestic freight forwarding solutions (air, sea, multimodal).
- Lead Generation: Develop and qualify a strong pipeline of leads using cold calling, networking, industry events, referrals, and digital tools.
- Solution Selling: Understand clients’ supply chain needs and present tailored GEODIS freight forwarding solutions that add value and solve logistics challenges.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver professional presentations, proposals, and negotiations to win new contracts, collaborating with operations and pricing teams as needed.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and ensure GEODIS remains competitive.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Customer Service, Pricing, Implementation) to ensure seamless onboarding and exceptional service for new customers.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate activity records, customer information, and sales progress in the CRM system; provide regular pipeline and progress reports to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven track record in new business sales, ideally within freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation
- Deep understanding of international freight (air/sea/road), Incoterms, and supply chain basics
- Strong prospecting, networking, and negotiation skills; comfortable with cold calling
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
- Self-driven, resilient, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems; MS Office
- Willingness to travel to meet prospects and attend industry events

- Number and value of new customers/contracts secured
