IT Lead
Zoku · Amsterdam Centrum, Netherlands
You apply on the site where the job is posted. I never handle applications.
Ready to take full ownership of IT in an international hospitality organisation? As IT Lead at Zoku, you'll oversee our end-to-end IT function, partnering with our Application Manager, the Managed Services Provider (MSP), suppliers and operational teams to deliver a secure, scalable and seamless technology experience.
Zoku provides a home for business travelers who want to live in a city for between a few days and a few months. We're a new type of hotel offering a relaxed place to live, co-work and socialize across Europe. Join an international team of driven, proactive and fun-loving Zokus who all have one thing in common: a passion for connecting people across the globe.
TELL ME MORE
As our IT Lead, you are responsible for shaping and executing technology plans, IT policies, and standards that support Zoku's long-term objectives. Using performance metrics and service insights, you drive continuous improvement across our technology landscape while ensuring effective IT governance, security controls, and compliance with relevant requirements.
You own the IT roadmap, budget, and software licence landscape, balancing cost-efficiency, business value, and continuous technology enhancement. Rather than running day-to-day IT support, you make sure our guest and operations experience the best IT environment by managing the relationship and performance of our managed service provider (MSP) and technology partners, ensuring technology solutions effectively support the business.
In addition, you lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of digital tools, ensuring our technology investments remain scalable, future-ready, and aligned with Zoku's growth ambitions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
No day looks the same as an IT Lead at ZOKU… but here's a glimpse of what you can expect:
- Accountable for system stability, security and access control across all properties; you set the standard and the requirements, the provider executes, you verify.
- Own the hardware and licence landscape: standards, budget, lifecycle and supplier selection, with execution by the provider.
- Pioneer Zoku’s transition towards advanced technological solutions such as AI tooling and MS365 and endorsing innovative IT decisions for sustainable growth.
- Strategize the future direction of the IT department, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the managed service provider end to end: contract, SLA, documentation, escalation and continuous improvement.
- Run the annual on-site IT audit at every Zoku property, including travel.
- Own the further development of Zoku’s IT security approach as the organization and its technology environment grow.
- Own Zoku's existing security and privacy baseline: keep policies, access control, the risk register and incident response alive, and report on posture to the Leadership Team.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
- A salary between 3.800 and €4600,= gross monthly depending on your relevant experience and know-how.
- A bonus system based on your team's collective goals.
- Cool benefits like discounts, friends & family rates at all Zoku locations and plenty of reasons to visit our hotels.
- A fun, international company with colleagues from across the globe to meet, learn and grow with.
- Exciting on-the-job learning opportunities and fun events throughout the year to celebrate achievements and milestones.
A FEW MUST HAVES
- At least 5 years of experience in IT coordination, IT management, vendor and contract management, or consultancy within a managed service provider (MSP) environment.
- A solid hands-on IT background and the ability to steer IT operations through external partners rather than delivering day-to-day support yourself.
- Experience managing external IT service providers, including contracts, SLAs, escalations, and service performance.
- Experience with change management, project delivery, stakeholder management, and leading technology initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and endpoint management, enabling you to set requirements, assess configurations, and hold suppliers accountable.
- Relevant certifications such as SC-300, SC-900, ITIL, or ISO 27001.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel to Zoku properties across Europe.
- Working knowledge of IT security, data protection and access management is required, not optional: you keep the existing baseline running, including access control, incident handling, and GDPR and PCI DSS obligations. The knowledge of pushing it forward and taking ownership is nice to have.
