Vysus Group is a leading engineering and technical consultancy providing specialist asset performance, risk management and project management expertise across complex industrial assets, energy assets (oil and gas, nuclear and renewables) and the energy transition.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Operations Manager to join our Risk Management Consulting (RMC) team in Barcelona, Spain. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, business performance, and sustainable growth across our Spain operations. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will play an important role in implementing strategy, improving operational efficiency, strengthening client relationships, and enabling collaboration across technical, commercial, and support functions.

As an important operational leader within Vysus Group, you will lead and develop teams, oversee the effective day-to-day running of the Barcelona office, and help create an environment where people can perform at their best. Acting as a role model for our values and leadership behaviours, you will foster a culture of engagement, accountability, continuous improvement, and safe working practices while supporting the achievement of both regional and global business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery of operational and strategic business plans aligned to regional and organisational objectives.
  • Drive financial and operational performance, ensuring business targets are achieved and opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to support service delivery and business growth.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Marketing, Sales, Technical and Support functions to support recruitment, resource planning, and business development activities.
  • Ensure operational systems, processes, and procedures are effective, efficient, and fit for purpose.
  • Oversee resource planning and budget management to support successful project and business delivery.
  • Lead, coach and develop employees, supporting performance management, succession planning, and professional development.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Barcelona office, including facilities management and liaison with landlords and service providers.
  • Champion safety, quality and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with company policies, management systems and legal requirements.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that improve operational efficiency, service delivery and business performance.

About You

You will hold a Master's degree, or equivalent qualification, from a recognised university and have significant experience operating within a leadership role in a small to medium-sized matrix organisation.

You will bring a strong technical foundation combined with commercial awareness and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery. You will have a proven track record of developing people, driving business performance, and building organisational capability.
