Data Engineer
Everllence · Copenhagen, Denmark
You apply off-site, with the employer or the job board. I never handle applications.
Are you passionate about turning data, AI, and software into practical business solutions? Would you like to work in a global engineering company where digital solutions support the decarbonization of world trade and help colleagues make better decisions every day? Then this could be your next opportunity.
We are looking for a Data / AI Solution Developer to join our Data Management team in PrimeServ Denmark. In this role, you will help design, build, and improve intelligent solutions that combine data, analytics, machine learning, LLMs, and software development to solve real business challenges.
This is not a role focused only on models or only on data pipelines. We are looking for someone who enjoys working across the full lifecycle of solution development - from understanding business needs and shaping concepts, to building data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that are robust, usable, and valuable in practice.
You will play an important role in:
- Designing and developing data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that support business processes and decision-making.
- Translating business challenges into technical solution concepts in collaboration with stakeholders and domain experts.
- Exploring, preparing, and analyzing data from multiple sources to identify patterns, opportunities, and solution directions.
- Developing machine learning, predictive, or AI-based components that can be embedded into business applications or workflows.
- Contributing to the full solution lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with data engineers, developers, subject matter experts, analysts, and business stakeholders to create solutions that are technically sound and operationally relevant.
- Supporting the documentation, communication, and adoption of solutions across the organization.
Staying up to date with relevant developments within AI, machine learning, cloud services, and applied analytics.

We imagine that you:
- Hold a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Have experience working with data science, analytics, machine learning, or AI development in a professional setting for at least 2 years.
- Have solid programming skills, preferably in Python, and are comfortable working with structured data and databases.
- Understand that successful AI and data solutions require more than a model, they also require integration, usability, maintainability, and business relevance.
- Are comfortable moving between analysis, prototyping, implementation, and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Have experience translating business needs into technical designs or analytical approaches.
- Are curious, solution-oriented, and motivated by solving practical business problems.
- Can work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Are fluent in English.
It will be an advantage if you have experience with
- Machine learning frameworks and applied AI development.
- Cloud platforms such as Azure.
- SQL and relational databases.
- APIs, integrations, or software components that operationalize analytical solutions.
- Business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- MLOps, deployment, or monitoring of analytical models.
- Software engineering practices such as GIT version control, DevOps, testing, and maintainable code design.
Working in environments where domain expertise and technical development need to come together to create business value.

What does success look like in this role?
Success in this position is not only about developing strong models or performing advanced analysis. It is about helping the business turn data and AI into solutions that are actually used.
That means understanding the context of the problem, engaging the right people, shaping the solution with the users in mind, and helping ensure that the final result works as part of a broader business process. In many cases, this requires collaboration across several roles, for example with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, developers, analysts, and data engineers.
We are therefore looking for someone who thrives in the space between technology and business, and who enjoys building solutions that make a measurable difference.
