The Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in the chemistry field. The department has more than 270 employees and has a turnover of 300 million SEK. At the department's six programs, we conduct very successful research of a high international standard. Duties
Duties include teaching, administration, or participation in research. The work focuses on the development and evaluation of novel high-entropy alloy anodes for lithium-ion batteries. The main tasks include literature review, material characterization, and the fabrication of electrodes and battery cells. The work also involves electrochemical testing. The results will be analyzed using methods such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), followed by data processing and analysis.
Requirements
For employment as a teaching assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted as a student at undergraduate or advanced level.
The position requires experience in:
- Synthesis of high-entropy alloy anodes for lithium-ion batteries.
- Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
- Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken.
Additional qualifications
Hands-on experience in a battery laboratory
About the employment
The employment is a temporary, 2026-10-01-2026-12-31) position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment 20 %. Starting date 2026-10-01 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala
