Our client is a global automotive manufacturing organization delivering advanced engineering and technology solutions for leading vehicle manufacturers worldwide. The company is investing heavily in digital transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Digital Factory capabilities to optimize production processes. To support these initiatives, they are looking for an experienced professional who can bridge business and IT teams, drive process improvements, and contribute to the successful delivery of manufacturing technology projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and operational needs related to MES and Digital Factory solutions,
- map and document current business processes in cooperation with process owners and end users,
- design and recommend process improvements supporting manufacturing operations,
- gather and define functional requirements for MES and Digital Factory platforms,
- act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure successful solution delivery,
- support implementation planning, project coordination, user onboarding and training activities,
- monitor solution performance, identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvements,
- prepare and maintain functional documentation, process documentation and business specifications,
- provide ongoing support for existing MES and Digital Factory applications,
- participate in additional initiatives and projects supporting digital manufacturing transformation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related field,
- 6 to 10 years of experience within a discrete manufacturing environment,
- strong understanding of MES and Digital Factory processes, preferably within the automotive industry,
- proven experience in facilitating workshops and collaborating with cross-functional teams,
- hands-on experience in business process analysis, mapping and optimization,
- knowledge of SAP will be considered an advantage,
- strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively,
- ability to work closely with both business and IT stakeholders to design and implement solutions,
- fast learner with the ability to assess situations and make informed decisions,
- excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills,
- ability to communicate complex information clearly to various stakeholder groups,
- understanding of standard software functionality and basic system administration activities,
- willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 10-25% of the time, mainly for project-related activities and user training.
