Chipping Norton + Cottage
A warm private family near Chipping Norton is seeking a polished, proactive and highly organised Household & Lifestyle Assistant for a varied, long-term position.
This is a hands-on role for a capable all-rounder who enjoys supporting different areas of family life and helping a private household run smoothly. It could particularly suit someone from a yachting, chalet, luxury hospitality or private household background who is ready to establish themselves ashore.
Responsibilities will include:
- Wardrobe management, packing and unpacking
- Preparing relaxed family-style meals and light lunches
- Keeping the home organised, beautifully presented and guest-ready
- Managing cupboards, supplies and household presentation
- Welcoming guests and assisting with informal entertaining
- Shopping, errands and general support for the principals
- Approximately one evening each week supporting the family’s 14-year-old daughter at their Oxford property, including preparing dinner
The successful candidate will be energetic, discreet and down-to-earth, with excellent organisation skills and a natural eye for detail. They should enjoy cooking, be confident working independently and also collaborate well with the wider household team.
A full driving licence and confident driving ability are essential.
- Working days: Thursday–Monday
- Days off: Tuesday and Wednesday
- Accommodation: Two-bedroom cottage provided
- Location: Chipping Norton, Cotswolds
