Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- You will define end-to-end functional safety architectures for humanoid robots and embodied AI systems
- Translate customer use cases into system-level safety concepts and semiconductor requirements
- Lead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) activities together with customers and ecosystem partners
- Develop safety concepts for robotic perception, motion control, manipulation, power distribution and actuator control
- Create scalable reference architecture covering; sensing, AI compute, motor control, battery management, power electronics, communication
- Drive allocation of safety goals to hardware and software components
- Collaborate with PL to influence future semiconductor roadmaps
- Support strategic customer projects from concept through architecture definition
- Represent Infineon in technical workshops, conferences and industr****y working groups
- Contribute to safety manuals, application notes, white papers and reference designs
- Evaluate emerging safety standards and their impact on humanoid robotics
- Support business development through technical leadership and customer engagement
- Define and implement functional safety diagnostics and safety mechanisms across sensing, computing, communication, power and control subsystems
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of safety requirements from customer use cases through system, hardware and software implementation
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop, analyze and validate system architectures and safety concepts
- Lead cross-functional systems engineering activities to ensure alignment of safety, performance, reliability and product requirements
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineerin****g, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Engineering or similar
- Several years of experience in Functional Safety
- Strong systems engineering mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary international teams
- Strong knowledge of Functional Safety principles, methodologies, and standards
- Expertise in Functional Safety Diagnostics and safety analysis techniques
- Solid background in Systems Engineering, including system definition, integration, and validation
- Proven experience in Requirements Engineering and requirements management processes
- Strong understanding of System Architecture design for complex embedded and cyber-physical systems
- Experience developing Safety Concepts at system and component levels
- Proficiency in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and other safety assessment methods
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools
- Experience ensuring Requirements Traceability throughout the product lifecycle
- Experience in one or more of the following industries or domains is highly desirable: Robotics OEMs, Industrial Automation, Automotive Functional Safety, Medical Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Safety Certification Processes, AI-Enabled Robotic Systems and Safety Software Development

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group J (https://www.feei.at/aktuelles/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter-eei/). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
