Software Integration & CI Expert (m/f/d)

We strive for continuous improvement, especially in the areas of SW quality, performance, CI/CD and SW delivery of our core SW product SmarTest, consisting of several million lines of C++/ Java code.

As a Software Integration & CI Expert (m/f/d), you will play a key role in ensuring the stability and quality of our software integration process. You will work closely with development teams around the world to integrate software changes, analyze build and test results, resolve integration issues, and help continuously improve our engineering workflows and toolchain.

In this role you will:

• Join a team of experienced SW engineers and test experts who aim towards the common goal of improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility of our build, release and test processes
• Own and coordinate the daily integration of software changes into our main development branches.
• Integrate pull requests, analyze build failures and integration conflicts, and work closely with development teams to resolve these issues.
• Support and improve the continuous integration process for a large-scale software product.
• Monitor automated test executions and evaluate test results.
• Maintain and extend automation scripts and CI/CD tooling.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of software integration, build, test, and delivery workflows.
• Help evaluate and introduce modern development tools, workflows, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, and stakeholders across Germany, US, China, and Japan.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Good software development skills in Java or C++.
• Very good understanding of Git-based development workflows, pull requests, branching strategies (e.g. trunk-based development, GitFlow, feature branching, …), and merge conflict resolution.
• Experience with modern build systems such as Bazel, Maven or CMake.
• Strong background in CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Good knowledge of scripting languages, especially Python, Groovy and Linux shell scripting.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve software development, testing, integration, troubleshooting and automation workflows.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Passion for software quality, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
• Very good English language skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Bitbucket, Confluence and Jira.
• Experience working with large-scale software products and distributed development organizations.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and software quality engineering.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment.
• Experience with Agile or SAFe development methodologies.
• Experience in semiconductor testing or the semiconductor industry.
