Clinical IT Service Manager (m/w/d) KIS/HIS & PACS & Interoperability
Location: Hybrid Role in Vienna, 20% travel
You will act as the central point of coordination between customers, stakeholders, and technical teams, proactively driving continuous improvement and resolving service challenges. Bringing a strong understanding of clinical processes and data flows, you translate operational feedback into tangible improvements for products and services within complex healthcare environments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the central point of coordination between customers, clinical stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring the reliable operation and continuous improvement of clinical IT services
- Drive service excellence across KIS/HIS, RIS, PACS, and related healthcare IT systems, ensuring agreed service levels and high customer satisfaction
- Monitor, analyze, and report on service performance and operational KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve system availability, workflows, and user experience
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize clinical IT processes, data flows, and interoperability across connected healthcare systems
- Coordinate and oversee complex incidents affecting clinical systems, driving timely resolution, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions
- Facilitate transparent communication with customers and stakeholders regarding service performance, operational topics, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to support deployments, integrations, interoperability requirements, and operational efficiency
Your Profile:
- Experience working with clinical information systems and healthcare workflows, ideally within hospital, radiology, or digital health environments
- Strong understanding of clinical data flows and interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM
- Knowledge of healthcare IT ecosystems, including KIS/HIS, RIS, and PACS
- Experience managing or supporting operational services for healthcare applications, digital health platforms, or clinical systems
- Ability to translate operational challenges and customer feedback into service and process improvements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across customers, clinical users, and technical teams
What else do I need to know? The min gross annual salary for this position is at least 60.000,00 EUR. Depending on education and experience, overpayment is possible.
