We are looking for an experienced and driven Team Lead Accounting & Controlling to lead our accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and governance across our international pharmaceutical business.In this keyrole, you will oversee financial reporting, statutory compliance, and accounting excellence while ensuring adherence to IFRS, local GAAP, and industry-specific regulatory requirements. You will act as a trusted partner tobusiness stakeholders, supporting the company's growththrough robust financial processes, strong internal controls, and high-quality reporting.
What Your Day To Day Will Look Like
- Leading and coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities while ensuring the timely preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements and supporting consolidation and intercompany accounting processes.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, resolving outstanding issues, and safeguarding the integrity of financial data used for management and statutory reporting.
- Overseeing pharmaceutical-specific accounting topics, including revenue recognition, rebates, royalties, licensing agreements, milestone payments, clinical trial expenses, and R&D accounting.
- Managing provisions and accruals to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Maintaining a robust internal control framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory, tax, statutory, and audit requirements.
- Acting as the key contact for internal and external auditors while continuously enhancing governance standards and accounting policies.
- Identifying financial risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures, and ensuring documentation meets regulatory and audit expectations.
- Driving process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiatives
- Standardizing accounting processes across the Group and improving reporting quality and closing efficiency.
- Leading and developing the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your Qualifications And Experience
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of professional experience in accounting and finance, with a proven track record in international corporate organizations, preferably within the consumer products or life science industry.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience managing international finance operations and complex multi-entity environments.
- Advanced ERP expertise, ideally including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Navision.
- Strong consolidation and intercompany accounting experience.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical revenue recognition models, royalties, licensing agreements, and R&D accounting.
- A strong compliance mindset with high ethical standards and attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and geographies.

- Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to disclose the collective agreement minimum salary, which is EUR 54.642,- gross per year, based on full-time employment.
