Position Summary
The Repair Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing the commercial growth strategy for Skyways Technics' aircraft component repair business within the assigned territory. The role is accountable for customer acquisition, account development, opportunity management, quotation follow-up, contract negotiation, and achieving annual revenue, order intake, and gross margin targets.
The Repair Sales Manager works closely with Workshop Management, Customer Support, Production Planning, Technical Services, and other internal stakeholders to develop commercially competitive and operationally sustainable repair solutions. The role also provides structured market intelligence and identifies opportunities for new repair capabilities, strategic investments, and long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
Market Development & Customer Mapping
Maintain a fully up-to-date map of potential customers across the EMEA region, with a focus on continental Europe.
Develop a clear understanding of existing and future relationships between Skyways Technics and its customers.
Develop and maintain a qualified sales pipeline sufficient to achieve annual and medium-term growth objectives.
Identify key decision-makers responsible for structural repairs or MRO services.
Develop annual sales plans and territory growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify new market segments, strategic customers, and emerging business opportunities.
Prepare annual sales budgets and revenue forecasts for the assigned territory.
Sales & Account Management
Own and deliver annual repair sales, order intake, and gross margin targets for the assigned territory.
Develop and present tailored repair solutions based on customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Negotiate and close long-term commercial agreements.
Ensure contracted service levels meet both customer expectations and Skyways Technics' operational capabilities.
Act as the commercial focal point for internal stakeholders supporting in-house repair activities.
Coordinate with Workshop Management and operational teams to ensure commercial commitments regarding pricing, turnaround time (TAT), capacity, and service levels are achievable.
Support the collection of overdue receivables and the resolution of commercial disputes when customer relationships require sales involvement.
Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, quotation, and forecast information within the company's CRM and ERP systems.
Conduct regular customer business reviews and identify opportunities to expand repair volumes.
Promote new repair capabilities, exchange programs, and value-added services.
Monitor sales pipeline performance against agreed KPIs.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Customer Support to ensure the smooth transition of newly awarded business into operational execution.
Coordinate with Production Planning and Workshop Management regarding future capacity requirements.
Support Logistics and Finance in resolving commercial issues affecting customer satisfaction.
Ensure commercial commitments remain aligned with workshop capacity and operational capabilities.
Relationship Management & Market Intelligence
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and senior management.
Travel frequently to meet customers and stakeholders throughout Europe.
Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, and market intelligence reports related to customer repair solutions and competitor offerings to the Sales Director for EMEA and management.
Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, customer purchasing behaviour, and emerging business opportunities.
Represent Skyways Technics professionally during customer visits, industry events, trade fairs, and exhibitions.
Strategic & Commercial Development
Build business cases for new repair capabilities, tooling investments, spare inventory investments, and strategic partnerships.
Present recommendations and investment proposals to management supported by market analysis and financial justification.
Identify opportunities to expand Skyways Technics' repair portfolio and service offering.
Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, customer conferences, and industry events to strengthen market presence and generate new business opportunities.
Qualification requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Aviation Management, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Strong commercial negotiation and business development skills.
Good understanding of aircraft component repair processes and the Part-145 environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/ERP systems.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
Working experience requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation repair sales, MRO sales, or aircraft component support.
Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue, order intake, and gross margin targets.
Experience negotiating long-term commercial agreements.
Experience managing strategic customer accounts.
Experience working with airlines, lessors, OEMs, MROs, or aircraft component repair organizations.
Experience preparing commercial proposals, quotations, and business cases.
Experience working within a Part-145 environment is highly desirable.
Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
Experience participating in trade shows, customer visits, and business development activities across Europe.
