Join our dynamic HVDC Communication Team, where you will play a crucial role in testing and verifying network infrastructures, communication interfaces, and HMI concepts for our cutting-edge HVDC projects at our test center. Imagine ensuring the flawless functionality and quality of our HVDC systems during commissioning worldwide. You will collaborate with diverse, multinational teams, working closely with project management, system, and component engineering to deliver tailored solutions that leverage the latest innovations in HVDC technology. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects and the future of energy technology.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the technically flawless, on-time, and economical commissioning of HVDC systems at construction sites globally, focusing on data networks and individual components of network communication at the SCADA level.
- Oversee the commissioning, support, and control of predominantly TCP/IP-based network infrastructure, HMI concepts, and their specific adaptations.
- Manage time synchronization and local and remote signal converters, ensuring seamless interfaces with all involved signal suppliers.
- Assist in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces, providing support to other commissioning components, customers, and external partners.
- Contribute to IBS management in quality, risk, and claim management, and participate in improvement programs, including Lean initiatives, reviews, and lessons learned.
What You Bring
- You hold a completed degree in electrical engineering, electronics, communication engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in network administration (switches, routers, etc.), basic HMI, and PC administration (hardware and virtualization) and you possess good knowledge of network protocols (including TCP/IP, RADIUS) as well as network security and monitoring.You are skilled in handling circuit diagrams and electrical systems/measuring instruments, and preferably have experience as a skilled electrician.
- You can communicate complex technical information clearly and precisely.
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- You are willing to travel worldwide for business and undertake long-term assignments at construction sites abroad, including optional assignments on offshore platforms (over 6 months).
- You are a team player, communicative, proactive, and capable of positive conflict resolution and decision-making.
