Terminology Services Manager

We are looking for an experienced Terminology Services Manager to support the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in semantic interoperability, terminology services, health taxonomies and knowledge-organisation systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain taxonomies, terminologies and coded value sets.
- Create and manage concept mappings.
- Support semantic-interoperability solutions.
- Work with classifications, thesauri, ontologies and knowledge graphs.
- Support enterprise terminology services and applications.
- Implement taxonomies for search, document management, repositories and data catalogues.
- Communicate terminology principles and standards to technical and business stakeholders.
Mandatory requirements

University degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience; or

Non-university degree with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.

During the past five years:
-
At least 3 years of experience developing, implementing and maintaining semantic-interoperability layers, including taxonomies, terminologies, coded value sets and concept mappings.

At least 3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, including terminology services.

At least 2 years of experience in information- and data-management operations.

At least 2 years of experience communicating and presenting taxonomy principles and standards.

At least 2 years of experience working with complex taxonomies, classifications, thesauri, ontologies and knowledge graphs.

At least 2 years of experience creating coded value sets and concept mappings for health-related taxonomies, particularly:
- SNOMED CT
- ICD-10
- ICD-11
- LOINC
- UCUM

At least 2 years of experience evaluating and implementing taxonomies supporting search systems, document management, data repositories or enterprise data catalogues.

English level B2 or higher.
Practical details
- Remote work from within the EU/EEA.
- Occasional on-site presence at ECDC in Solna, Sweden, may be required.
- Freelance and employment-contract options are available.
