CGI Automotive Artist (3Ds Max & V-Ray)
INDG · Amsterdam, Netherlands

INDG creates digital twins and CGI content systems for global product brands. In our Automotive vertical, that means turning complex vehicle data into images and animations that can represent a car across configurators, launch campaigns, print, exhibitions, and promotional videos.
We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist who can turn complex automotive data into polished visual output. You will work from high-poly vehicle assets, build materials, render stills and animations, composite final images, and keep quality consistent across large content sets.
Your impact is visible. You will create content that represents premium automotive brands in configurators, campaigns, launch campaigns, retail tools, and large-format experiences. The work must look beautiful, but it also has to survive scale.
What You Will Do
- Create automotive CGI that holds up at close range
Build still images and animations from high-poly vehicle models. Texture, shade, light, render, and composite final content for automotive brands with strict visual standards. You will work on exteriors, interiors, detail crops, accessories, colorways, wheels, trims, and motion sequences.
- Own the render, not just the task
Evaluate image quality from a senior production perspective. You can see when a render issue comes from lighting, material response, geometry, camera setup, render settings, or compositing. You will refine clearcoat, metallic flakes, glass, rubber, leather, stitching, displays, brushed metal, chrome, and shadow behavior until the image feels physically and visually right.
- Work inside scalable production pipelines
Create scenes and outputs that can survive large content sets. You will follow naming, versioning, render-layer, compositing, and scene-organization standards. You will help keep assets clean, reusable, and ready for configurators, campaign derivatives, market adaptations, and automated content workflows.
- Improve quality while delivering content
Implement feedback from art directors, leads, clients, and production teams without losing control of the setup. You will spot recurring issues, improve material libraries, refine lighting templates, document useful fixes, and help reduce manual rework across automotive production.
You Have
- Strong experience in automotive CGI and high-end 3D production. You are comfortable working with complex high-poly models, physically based materials, lighting setups, render passes, compositing workflows, and final image polish.
- You know 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Nuke or After Effects at a professional level. Your portfolio or showreel demonstrates seniority through visual judgment, technical control, and finished output, not just clean modeling or isolated shots.
- You can communicate clearly in English with artists, leads, producers, and technical teams. You can explain what is wrong in an image, what needs to change, and what tradeoff is being made.
Why Join INDG
INDG has spent more than 20 years building visual production systems for global brands. We are not a traditional creative agency and not a pure software vendor. We build the systems that turn physical products into digital twins, production-grade CGI, and scalable content.
Grip extends that work into AI-assisted content orchestration. For a Senior 3D Artist, that means your craft does not disappear into automation. It defines the quality standard the system must reproduce.
