Both brands are expanding into the Cannabis & CBD industry and we are looking for a proactive and driven Business Development Representative to take ownership of this market segment for Miron & Calaso in Europe.
You will work closely with our American in-house cannabis expert to support the continued growth of Miron & Calaso in the European cannabis market. In this role, you are expected to develop a strong understanding of the European cannabis industry, including market trends, customer needs, packaging innovations, and the competitive landscape. You will help identify new prospects, relevant trade shows, industry partners, and networking opportunities, while sharing market observations and customer feedback with the Business Development team. Your primary focus will be outbound business development, lead generation, and qualifying new opportunities for the Sales team.
You are energized by prospecting and excited to build relationships in this fast-growing, innovative industry. You know how to speak to cannabis brands, manufacturers, and sourcing managers, and are comfortable introducing premium glass packaging solutions to this space.

As Germany is one of our biggest markets in Europe, professional fluency in German and English is required for this position.

Responsibilities
· Understanding the European cannabis market and its customers: what does the competitive landscape look like, what are the customer’s needs, what are market innovations, which products are needed etc.
· Identifying opportunities to pursue eg. potential partners, potential customers, sponsor opportunities, new product innovations etc.
· Detect lead sources in the cannabis industry and pursue these leads proactively.
· Conduct outbound phone and email outreach to cannabis industry leads.
· Engage, follow up and qualify outbound and event-generated leads into new customers (e.g. from cannabis-specific trade shows, sponsorships, networking events etc.).
· If a lead is interested, prepare and coordinate sample orders.
· Travel to and attend Cannabis & CBD trade shows & networking events across Europe.
· Follow up with trade show leads to qualify them into new customers.
· Convert cannabis industry leads into active accounts by identifying needs and connecting them with appropriate solutions or the sales team members.
· Build trust and a sustainable relationship with leads through open and interactive communication with colleagues, partners, leads & customers.
· Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
· Meet personal and team sales targets.
· Keep records of prospect interactions, process leads, and file documents precisely within our CRM-system.
· Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
· Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
· Deep understanding of the European cannabis industry.
· Experience working with or selling into the cannabis industry.
· 3–5 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development or a similar commercial role.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
· Proactive with a lead hunter mindset.
· Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills.
· Strong follow-up discipline.
· Excellent communication skills via phone and email with customers and with colleagues.
· Experience working with CRM systems (Microsoft or Salesforce preferred).
· Willingness to travel throughout Europe.
Preferred
· Dutch language skills are preferred since the headquarters are in Hoogeveen.

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours)
