Candidate profile (title) Your responsibilities Candidate profile (text) - Default language We are looking for a senior real estate professional with an entrepreneurial mindset to develop and elevate Ingka Centres Meeting Place portfolio.
In this role, you recruit, build, manage, and lead a professional team, ensuring strong collaboration across Ingka Centres and the wider Ingka landscape to strengthen and expand Ingka Centres Meeting Place portfolio. You support the IKEA space optimization agenda, provide strategic leadership for real estate transactions and the physical evolution of Ingka Centres Meeting Places, ensuring they are future proof, high performing, and aligned with the overall business vision.
As a member of the management team, you guide multidisciplinary functions to deliver cohesive concepts, robust development processes, and high-quality execution across all stages of planning, design, expansion, and transformation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead the overall direction for the physical Meeting Place format and long-term development of Meeting Places, ensuring solutions are innovative, commercially strong, and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Ensure strong collaboration within Ingka Centres and the wider IKEA landscape to support IKEA expansion and space optimisation agenda.
- Provide senior leadership to multidisciplinary teams across design, PMO, expansion, development, transformation, transactions, and concept & solutions, fostering clarity, collaboration, and unified delivery.
- Drive the end-to-end development process, from early concept creation through detailed planning and execution, securing consistency, feasibility, and excellence across all initiatives.
- Act as a strategic partner within the management team, contributing to overall business direction and translating company ambitions into actionable development strategies.
- Lead co-creation of Ingka Centres expansion plan anchored with IKEA and contribut to Ingka Centres portfolio plan.
- Ensure strong governance, standards, and ways of working are in place to support efficient decision-making, high-quality outputs, and repeatable, scalable development solutions across markets.
This role will be reporting to: Sebastian Hylving Ingka Centres Manager Key responsibilities (title) Who you are Key responsibilities (text) You are an experienced and inspiring real estate professional and a strong leader with a background in real estate concept, design, project management, development, and transformation within complex organisational environments. You combine strategic thinking with operational excellence and are passionate about developing people, concepts, and meeting places that create long term value.
You have:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience within real estate concept, design, development, project management, transformation, transactions and related fields is a must.
- At least 6 years of managerial experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
- A university degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Strong ability to translate business strategy into physical concepts and executable development roadmaps.
- Experience working at management team level and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes across organisations.
