As Product Data and Integration Lead, your mission is to make that landscape accessible and usable for our new products and product team.. ABOUT THE ROLE
Modity operates in an energy industry undergoing rapid change, where AI, connected data, automation and evolving customer needs are creating new opportunities. The role is part of Modity’s new product organization, where digital and AI-driven products are developed and brought into production.
As Product Data and Integration Lead, you will ensure that Modity’s products have the right technical and data-related foundations. You will translate product needs and use cases into technical requirements and priorities while clarifying the data flows, integrations and system dependencies required to develop each solution.
Your role is to remove technical and data related barriers to product development and finding pragmatic ways foreward while ensuring security, governance and compliance.
You will also help determine how data may be used and shared, ensuring that legal requirements, information security and contractual rights are considered throughout product development. In addition, you will ensure that solutions fit into Modity’s platform architecture and contribute to a secure, scalable and sustainable technical environment.
The role involves close collaboration with the Product Owner, Lead AI Engineer, development teams, business stakeholders and legal specialists.
Responsibilities
- Translate product needs and use cases into clear technical requirements, priorities and feasible solutions.
- Identify required data sources, data flows, integrations and system dependencies.
- Assess technical complexity, development time, resources, dependencies and risks to support planning and decision-making.
- Ensure solutions comply with legal requirements, information security standards and applicable data rights.
- Contribute to a secure, scalable and sustainable architecture aligned with Modity’s existing platforms and architectural principles.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, development teams, business stakeholders and legal specialists.
- Take initiative and independently drive the work from an identified need to a functional solution.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A relevant post-secondary technical education or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in technical product management, software development, data, system integrations or solution architecture.
- The ability to translate business and product needs into technical requirements and feasible solutions.
- A good understanding of data flows, integrations and platform architecture, including the legal, secure and contractually compliant use of data.
- Experience assessing and prioritizing technical complexity, dependencies, resource requirements and risks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- An interest in and ability to understand Modity’s business and the energy market.
- Strong initiative and analytical skills, with the ability to turn decisions into results.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience from the energy industry or another data-intensive and business-critical environment.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, data platforms or integration architectures.
- Experience from digital or AI-driven product development in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of information security, data governance, data protection or contractual data rights.
- Experience collaborating with legal, security and compliance functions.
- Knowledge of Swedish or another Scandinavian language.

Above all, you are motivated by building the technical and data-related foundations needed to turn valuable product ideas into functional solutions.
