As a Retail Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our retail network across Stores, Shop-in-Shops, and Outlets, with an increased focus on supporting and driving operational excellence within the Outlet business.
Operating from the Amsterdam office, you will provide essential support to store teams within the Benelux region by coordinating operational processes, driving efficiency, safeguarding operational excellence, and ensuring strong execution of commercial priorities across the network. A significant part of this role (approximately 30%) will be spent in-store and on the floor, conducting regular store visits and working closely with the Area Manager Outlets and store teams to ensure operational consistency, strong customer execution, and adherence to brand standards across the retail network.
The role is highly transversal and acts as a connector between Head Office functions and store teams. Collaboration with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Training, IT, and Retail teams is key to ensuring consistent brand execution and successful delivery of commercial and operational priorities. A strong eye for detail, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential to succeed in this role and uphold the premium standards of the HUGO BOSS brand.
This is a newly created role that reflects the growing focus and ambitions of the retail network, particularly within the Outlet business. As such, the position offers the opportunity to actively shape ways of working, contribute to building new routines and frameworks, and play an important role in defining and developing the function over time in line with business priorities and operational needs. Operational Framework, Tools & Communications
- Support the development and roll-out of dedicated Retail Operations tools, routines, and guidelines across the retail network, with particular focus on the Outlet business (e.g. hospitality guidelines, runner process, BOH standards, cash desk processes, operational routines).
- Maintain and update operational documentation, including store guidelines, process manuals, reporting templates, and communication materials.
- Contribute to structured retail communications, including operational updates, newsletters, and implementation toolkits.
- Support the roll-out and adoption of key retail initiatives and operational projects across the network (e.g. RFID and process improvements).
- Ensure operational frameworks and standards are consistently implemented across stores.

Data Management, Reporting & Performance Steering
- Prepare, analyse, and distribute accurate operational reports using Microsoft Excel, delivering meaningful insights for decision-making.
- Track store KPIs and performance trends, identifying opportunities for operational enhancement.
- Develop and monitor key qualitative KPIs—such as NPS (Net Promoter Score), customer feedback insights, and CRM database expansion—through data analysis and performance reviews.
- Support stores in understanding KPI performance and implementing actions to improve results.
- Develop dedicated analysis and follow-up tools to support operational and commercial performance.

Retail Execution & Store Support
- Conduct regular store visits across Stores, Shop-in-Shops, and Outlets to monitor standards, execution quality, and operational consistency.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams to support commercial readiness, campaign execution, product presentation standards, and peak activity preparation.
- Support stores in maintaining structured and organized Back of House environments and efficient operational routines.
- Review customer journey, commerciality, and in-store execution to ensure alignment with brand expectations.
- Ensure operational and visual standards are upheld through structured follow-up and store visits.
- Support store teams through coaching, implementation guidance, and practical problem solving.

Communication & Coordination
- Act as the main contact for operational inquiries from store teams, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the Area Managers to align priorities, actions, and follow-up across the retail network.
- Maintain strong transversal relationships with Store Managers through a collaborative and coaching-oriented approach.
- Partner closely with Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Training, IT, and Retail teams to ensure operational alignment and execution excellence.
- Assist in organizing and communicating key retail events, such as store openings, seasonal launches, campaigns, and promotions.
- Support planning, communication, and execution of the commercial calendar to ensure stores are fully prepared for upcoming activities and activations.

Project & Process Management
- Support and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, including store openings, refurbishments, operational initiatives, and process optimization projects.
- Monitor project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure successful and on-time execution.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and contribute to ongoing improvements in retail operations.
- Support implementation follow-up to ensure sustainable adoption across the retail network.

Microsoft Office Expertise
- Use advanced Excel skills to support reporting and analysis.
- Create clear, professional presentations and documentation in PowerPoint and Word.
- Draft and prepare high-quality presentations for senior management, ensuring clarity, structure, and alignment with brand standards.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date, and accessible documentation for all stakeholders. Your profile:

Experience: 2–4 years in retail and/or store operations or a similar role, ideally within a premium or luxury retail environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Fashion Studies or a related field (preferred).

Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills (required), Dutch is highly desirable, and French/German is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
