Discover the Role As a Senior CDD Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening TMF Group's client due diligence and client risk assessment framework. Acting as a subject matter expert within the Business Excellence Center, you will provide guidance on complex client risk matters, support the consistent application of regulatory requirements, and help drive a strong risk-aware culture across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and support to Business Excellence Center and client teams on client risk assessment and risk mitigation matters.
- Review and assess complex client risk assessments to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Develop, maintain, and improve procedures, templates, guidance materials, and other knowledge resources related to client risk assessment.
- Design and deliver training programs to educate stakeholders on CDD requirements, client risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory developments.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for complex client risk-related queries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify efficiencies and enhance the effectiveness of CDD processes and controls.
- Stay informed of relevant regulatory developments and industry best practices, translating changes into practical guidance for the business.
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in Law, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience within financial services, with a strong focus on CDD, KYC, AML, and client risk assessment activities.
- Experience assessing clients, structures, and transactions within the Capital Markets sector, with a solid understanding of the associated regulatory, compliance, and client risk considerations.
- Experience within a corporate services provider; experience at a Dutch trust company is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including AML legislation, FATCA, CRS, WTT, WWFT, and AIFMD.
- Ability to assess complex legal structures, ownership arrangements, and tax-related frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across multiple levels of the organization.
- Experience developing and delivering training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Highly analytical with excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with databases and compliance systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
