They are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Third Party Risk to join their team in Krakow. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within a sophisticated risk environment, providing technical expertise and guidance across a global organisation whilst contributing to the continuous improvement of third party risk management practices.
Position Overview
As Senior Manager, Third Party Risk, you'll provide technical expertise and guidance across the organisation's global operations. This role sits within the Global Resilience Risk Business & Functions team, where you'll support stakeholders in understanding and managing third party risk effectively. You'll monitor the external environment for emerging risks, deliver tailored expertise to enable first line of defence teams to deploy mitigating controls, and support regulatory and audit engagement. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening the control environment and ensuring the organisation manages third party relationships safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical advice globally on third party risk control environments and assessments • Support teams to explain risk issues and events in accessible, non-technical terms • Monitor external environments to identify emerging third party risks and mitigation strategies • Deliver tailored expertise enabling first line teams to deploy key mitigating controls • Provide technical guidance for regulatory reporting obligations including RAS and risk profile reporting • Ensure root causes of operational risk issues and events are understood and treated • Escalate concerns regarding key controls and material change programmes related to third party risk • Support regulatory and audit engagement, ensuring compliance and timely action completion • Lead training and capability development for Global Resilience Risk teams • Develop networks with key stakeholders across a complex matrix structure • Present complex technical concepts persuasively to non-technical audiences Requirements
• Proven experience in risk management at a globally significant financial institution • Understanding of third party risk impact within a global banking group and its commercial context • Strong knowledge of the relevant regulatory landscape and ability to assess regulatory rule changes • Knowledge of financial institution business models, products, and key risk drivers • Deep technical expertise in third party risk identification, assessment, monitoring, control, and mitigation • Ability to lead and promote strong risk control culture and improve risk awareness • Demonstrated ability to develop stakeholder networks in matrix organisations • Experience supporting multi-locational professional teams • Experience providing expert advice, robust challenge, and delivering risk management policies • Ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences • Team-oriented approach with ability to complete tasks independently to high standards • BA or BS University Degree (advanced degrees such as MBA, MSc, or PhD preferable) and/or relevant qualifications Benefits
