Team leader operations

In a nutshell

As a Captain you will responsible for leading and developing a team of Shoppers. The focus is on creating a positive team environment where colleagues feel supported, motivated, and able to grow.

You will be the people leader within the team. You will have to understand your team's needs, support personal development, provide feedback, and help resolve challenges. Together with other Captains and the Supervisor, you will ensure the team works towards shared goals and that colleagues have a positive experience at Picnic.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 8-10 Shoppers.
• Lead by example by actively participating in shopper activities.
• Create and maintain a healthy and positive working atmosphere.
• Support the personal development and growth of team members.
• Provide regular feedback and contribute to performance reviews.
• Identify team challenges and take ownership of finding solutions.
• Work closely with Supervisors and other Captains to achieve daily goals.
• Take responsibility for safety, cleanliness, quality, and productivity
• Build team engagement and strengthen collaboration within the team.

About you

• You like to help your colleagues improve their knowledge and skills
• You take responsibility easily and enjoy taking care of an area
• You have at least 6 months of experience at Picnic
• Available for a minimum of 32 hours
• Available to work the Day shift (05:45-15:00) or Afternoon Shift (15:45-01:00)
• Fixed weekly schedule
• Available on at least one weekend day per week
• Fluency in English

• A gross starting salary of 16.75 (including 8% holiday pay).
