Design Manager

We are seeking a talented Design Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of multidisciplinary design teams on complex aviation projects. Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and project leadership teams, you will ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme objectives.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams from concept through to construction.
• Ensuring client requirements, project objectives and design standards are achieved.
• Managing design risk, interfaces, approvals and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborating with commercial, procurement, programme and construction teams to drive integrated project delivery.
• Monitoring design progress, performance and key deliverables.
• Supporting innovation, BIM and digital delivery initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with governance, statutory and quality requirements.

You’ll need to have:

• Proven Design Management experience on major aviation, infrastructure or complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of design coordination, design assurance and risk management.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and challenging project interfaces.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong BIM and digital delivery awareness.
• Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Professional membership (RIBA, ICE, CIOB, RICS, CIBSE or equivalent) desirable.
