Responsibilities:
Support and coordinate supplier quality development activities from prototype phase through PPAP approval and SOP + 6 months.
Drive APQP and PPAP processes with suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Conduct supplier assessments, process audits, and risk evaluations during sourcing and development phases.
Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement actions to support quality, delivery, and cost optimization.
Coordinate supplier readiness for production launch and manage handovers to manufacturing plants.
Review and validate PPAP documentation, samples, and project quality milestones.
Identify risks, escalate issues, and drive corrective action plans with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Development teams to ensure successful project execution.
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, technical, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or a similar role within the automotive industry.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, supplier audits, and quality tools.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand GD&T principles.
Familiarity with MSA, statistical analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Quality certifications (CQE, CQA) are considered an advantage.
Willingness to travel.
