Junior Instructional Designer

Role Summary
The Junior Instructional Designer supports the development, maintenance, quality control, and deployment of instructional materials for Rater Services training initiatives.
Working under the guidance of the Instructional Design Specialist, this role is responsible for developing and updating PowerPoint presentations, Articulate Storyline courses, assessments, supporting documentation, and Learning Management System (LMS) content. The role also performs quality control reviews, implements approved revisions, maintains project documentation, and supports course deployment activities.
The Junior Instructional Designer contributes to the successful delivery of training materials by ensuring deliverables are accurate, compliant with established standards, and completed within project timelines while supporting the quality and consistency of learning solutions across Rater Services.
Key Responsibilities
eLearning and Presentation Development
- Redesign presentations using approved IQVIA templates, branding standards, and formatting guidelines.
- Format, update, and maintain PowerPoint presentations based on approved content and direction provided by the Instructional Design Specialist.
- Develop and update eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline and other approved authoring tools based on provided content, storyboards, and design specifications.
- Configure navigation, media, assessments, and rater interactions within eLearning modules.
- Publish and package SCORM-compliant learning content for LMS deployment.
- Implement approved revisions and updates to learning materials throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support localization activities by updating presentations, Storyline courses, and accompanying materials with approved translated content.
- Maintain course content and supporting learning materials throughout the project lifecycle.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
- Create and configure courses within Litmos in accordance with project requirements and established standards.
- Upload and maintain SCORM packages, assessments, and supporting course materials.
- Configure course settings and completion requirements as directed.
- Build and maintain assessments within Litmos using approved content.
- Maintain LMS course records and assist with course updates following post-deployment revisions.
- Conduct LMS testing to verify course functionality, rater experience, completion tracking, and reporting accuracy.
- Assist with troubleshooting LMS-related issues and content updates.
Quality Control (QC)
- Perform first-level quality control reviews on presentations, eLearning modules, assessments, and LMS courses using approved QC checklists and standards.
- Verify accuracy, consistency, formatting, branding compliance, navigation, and functionality.
- Identify, document, and correct quality issues prior to final review.
- Perform re-QC activities following updates and revisions.
- Maintain QC documentation and record review outcomes in accordance with departmental procedures and audit requirements.
Review Cycle Support
- Incorporate approved stakeholder feedback and direction provided by the Instructional Design Specialist into project deliverables.
- Ensure revisions are accurately incorporated across all deliverables.
- Maintain version history throughout development and review cycles.
- Track and document updates across multiple studies and deliverables.
- Support review cycles by preparing updated materials for quality control and final approval.
Administrative and Process Support
- Update and maintain project information within the Instructional Design Request Log and other tracking tools.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, development records, and status updates.
- Organize and manage project files, templates, and learning assets in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain accurate version control and file naming conventions in accordance with departmental standards.
- Support the maintenance of instructional design templates and reusable resources.
- Follow established work instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist with departmental administrative and continuous improvement activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
- Experience creating, formatting, and updating professional PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or other eLearning authoring tools, or the demonstrated ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow established processes, standards, templates, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Preferred
- Experience working with PowerPoint templates, branding standards, and document formatting requirements.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Litmos.
- Experience developing, publishing, and testing SCORM-compliant learning content.
- Understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Experience supporting content review cycles and implementing stakeholder feedback.
- Experience performing quality control reviews using established checklists and standards.
- Experience working in a regulated, clinical, healthcare, or professional services environment.
- Experience supporting training, learning, education, communications, documentation, or content development initiatives.
Key Working Relationships
- Reports to: Instructional Design Specialist
- Works closely with: Project Managers, Clinical Teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Project Management Analysts/Operations Teams, and other internal stakeholders
