Payroll Specialist - Travel & Expenses Specialist with German

About a role:

We are looking for a Travel & Expenses Specialist to join our Payroll team and support payroll-related processes for employees working in Germany. The role combines responsibility for business travel expense processing, working time management, payroll data verification and cooperation with German team.

Responsibilities:

• Processing, reviewing and validating business travel expense claims (Dienstreiseabrechnungen) in accordance with German regulations and company policies.
• Monitoring and controlling working time and time management processes.
• Analyzing and verifying payroll reports and employee data , identifying discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy.
• Understanding business reports and requests, translating them into appropriate actions and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Applying knowledge of German labor, tax and social security legislation to payroll and employee-related processes.
• Supporting the assessment of different types of employment, including full-time, part-time and the related social insurance obligations.
• Working with SAP and other HR/Payroll systems to process and validate data.
• Cooperating closely with German team.

Requirements:

• Experience in payroll, Travel & Expenses, time management , or a related area.
• Practical knowledge of German labor law , with an understanding of related tax and social security regulations.
• Knowledge and practical experience in processing German business travel expense claims (Dienstreiseabrechnungen) .
• Understanding of different employment types in Germany and their impact on social insurance obligations.
• Ability to analyze payroll data, reports and requests and translate findings into appropriate actions.
• Experience working with SAP is preferred.
• Fluency in English and German .
• Ability to work effectively with both clients and German-speaking local teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
