Our team is looking for an Office & Community Manager! As an Office & Community Manager you will work to ensure the smooth running of the Objective Platform office on a day-to-day basis, and make sure that the space is equipped with everything necessary to ensure a happy and functioning team and environment. You will also assist HR and Finance to create an effortless experience for all employees.

The role in a nutshell:
Responsibilities:
The position of Office and Community Manager is diverse, and you have the opportunity to make it as big as you like, as it allows you to dive into areas of interest, making it a challenging and fun role. Your primary responsibility is to make colleagues and clients feel welcome at our office. You will also work with our People & Culture Manager to manage on- and offboarding and assist with projects and ad hoc employee requests. Below are some examples of your main duties and responsibilities:
Office
You are ultimately responsible for office management and ensuring a pleasant workplace for all your colleagues at our Amsterdam location. This includes being the primary contact for suppliers and the building, hospitality, security and organising a healthy lunch for all. You will be the friendly face that receives our clients, answers the phone and books meeting rooms. You are also on top of general office maintenance, including taking care of the plants, office equipment, ordering groceries and supplies and making sure the office is clean and tidy.
Community
You foster connection between colleagues, teams and office locations. You do this through various events, drinks, initiatives, gifts, personal attention and communications. You also handle travel arrangements and work on Employee Happiness & Engagement.
HR
You make sure all new hires receive a warm welcome and settle into the company (sometimes country too). For current employees, you assist with HR Admin tasks like contract extensions and payroll, coordinate our personal development budget, and handle employee requests like employer statements. When employees leave, you make sure the offboarding process is handled smoothly, ensuring they leave on a positive note. You can also work on projects based on your interests and strengths, like DEI or Learning & Development.
Requirements:
- You are available for 32 hours per week and are happy to work fully from our office (given the nature of the role, physical presence is required).
- You work in a highly structured and detail-oriented way. You like to plan and organise.
- You are an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, and you are fluent in English.
- You are responsible, comfortable working independently, and you love taking the initiative.
- You can easily multi-task and manage a range of different responsibilities without losing the overview.
Preferred:
- Ideally, you have 1+ years of experience in an office management, hospitality, or HR-admin related role (This can also have been in a non-office environment).
- You speak Dutch.
- You get positive energy from working in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
- You are looking to grow further within a People & Culture / HR-related field.
