Project Assistent in the department of Theranostik

Description of the workplace

We are currently planning several projects involving the establishment of new cancer models

and animal studies. We are therefore seeking a project assistant on an on-call basis to provide

support with these activities as needed.

Our group focuses on the development of cancer-targeting agents, with a particular emphasis on

radiopharmaceuticals. These therapeutic agents require comprehensive evaluation in both in vitro

cellular models and in vivo animal models to assess their biological properties, targeting

characteristics, and therapeutic potential.

2026-10-01 to 2027-02-28.

Duties and responsibilities

The position will primarily involve supporting the execution of preclinical animal experiments,

including the establishment and maintenance of orthotopic cancer models, evaluation of

radiopharmaceutical biodistribution, and collection, processing, and analysis of biological samples.

Other duties may be added within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

• Relevant university degree in medicine, pharmacy, biomedicine or another closely related field
• Basic understanding of biology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics
• Basic knowledge of surgical techniques and anesthesia, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical
• Good practical skills and the ability to learn and perform new laboratory and experimental techniques
• Ability to follow established protocols and work in accordance with ethical and regulatory requirements
• Careful, responsible, and methodical approach to experimental work
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team
• The position involves practical work with radioactive materials. The successful candidate should therefore be

comfortable working with radioactivity and willing to complete the relevant radiation safety training

Meritorious:

• Education or additional training in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, surgical techniques, or anaesthesiology
• Additional education in laboratory animal science, or experimental animal procedures
• Experience with surgical procedures, suturing, or other practical surgical techniques
• Knowledge of practical laboratory techniques, including sample handling, tissue processing, or biological measurements

Desired start date is October 1, 2026, or as agreed.
