We are looking for an Accountantto join the team in our Frankfurt, Germany office for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be passionate about the aviation industry, target- and goal-driven, and have experience in Accounting.
Purpose of the Role
To oversee the transactional finance team whilst providing support on Month-end duties. Involvement in all aspects of the finance function.
Responsibilities of the Role
Accounts payable
- Support the transactional team with guidance on invoice posting
- Review postings, ensuring accuracy and correct tax treatment of all purchase invoices.
- Assist with posting employee expenses and credit card returns.
- Support with ledger reviews of all creditor nominal accounts..
- Prepare weekly payment run and ensure invoices are paid when due.
Accounts receivable
- Oversee the transactional team, making sure they are working to required SLAs.
- Step in as required to support with creating sales invoices.
- Support the commercial teams with any urgent issues that the transactional team needs support with.
- Assist with credit control
Month end
- Assist with gross profit reconciliations.
- Support the Assistant Finance Manager with other month-end duties as required.
Other duties
- Own customer credit requests.
- Assist with VAT returns.
- Support with year-end duties.

- Attention to detail is crucial when raising sales invoices; must show real care and pride in the quality of work.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay cool under pressure when dealing with demanding brokers.
Communication
- Participate in conference calls to ensure effective sharing of information and full awareness of others in the finance and other offices.
- Keep up to date with activities of other finance staff using the appropriate network of communication.
Correlation with
- To work in correlation with all finance departments across the group.
- To work in conjunction with the yearly strategies laid out by the ExCom, Senior Management and Management Teams.
Marketing
- Ensure that all marketing material is in line with Group Marketing procedures.
