Operations Lead — North Canaan

North Canaan is a venture studio building several startups in parallel. We're hiring an Operations Lead to run the operating layer across the portfolio, working directly with a founding team that's been through Klarna, PayPal, and multiple exits.

The role

You own the connective tissue. One week that's rebuilding a broken customer database, the next it's running a hiring pipeline, coordinating a launch, standing up a support function, or QA'ing an onboarding flow before it ships. The domains rotate constantly: marketing ops, recruiting, support, research, product QA, vendor management. The constant is that things need to ship, and you're the reason they do.

This starts hands-on and stays hands-on. As the studio grows, you build the systems and eventually the team behind them. How far that goes is a function of how much you can carry.

You

Fast but not careless, but biased toward shipping. You get dropped into a new domain on Monday and are operating in it by Friday. You write clearly in English (Swedish is a plus). You ask sharp questions and don't need the same thing explained twice. You'd rather have real ownership at speed than a defined lane at a bigger company.

Useful: Notion, Linear, Slack, basic SQL, no-code tooling (Lovable, Airtable, Zapier). Prior startup or founder's-office experience.

The deal, plainly

Base is modest. Equity is real. What you're actually buying is a front-row seat to several companies being built at once, direct mentorship from operators who've built and sold them before, and responsibility from week one that most people wait a decade for. If that trade doesn't appeal, this isn't the job.

Remote to start, hybrid as we grow into an office. Full-time, permanent.
