Nombre de vacante Senior Product Manager (French speaking)
Descripción France is one of Sage Active's most important European markets - and it has its own rhythm, its own regulatory landscape, and its own expectations for what great business software looks and feels like.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will be the beating heart of our French market presence: someone who bridges our global product direction with the on-the-ground reality of French customers, translating their needs into features, feedback, and momentum that shapes what we build next.
This is not a localization role. It is a market ownership role. You will sit at the crossroads of product, sales, growth, and customer success, acting as the connective tissue that ensures Sage Active wins in France.
What makes this role unique is that the features you champion for France will often ship globally. When you identify a gap in the French market and build the case for it, you are not requesting a local fix, you are shaping the product for every Sage Active customer across Europe. Your market gives you a distinct lens; your influence reaches well beyond it.
This is a hybrid role working 3 days a week in our Barcelona office.
Responsabilidades principales Market ownership & product experience
-
Own the end-to-end product experience for French customers, ensuring every feature we ship lands with the right context, the right language, and the right fit for the French market.
-
Serve as the primary voice of the French customer inside the product organization, synthesizing feedback from customer success, support, and sales into clear, prioritized insights for the roadmap.
-
Identify market-specific gaps and opportunities and build compelling cases for product investment that balance French market needs with global product strategy.
-
Monitor local competitors, regulatory changes, and market trends (including French accounting and fiscal requirements) to ensure Sage Active remains ahead of the curve.
Cross-functional collaboration
-
Partner daily with engineering and design teams to define, refine, and ship features, bringing the French market perspective into discovery, scoping, and validation.
-
Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Growth in France: enabling the field with product knowledge, supporting pipeline conversations, and turning customer insights from the field into product intelligence.
-
Collaborate with Product Marketing to craft the launch narrative for the French market, co-owning how new features are positioned, communicated, and activated locally.
-
Be the go-to escalation point for Customer Success and Support in France when product issues or gaps are blocking customer outcomes.
Execution & delivery
-
Define and track success metrics for the French market experience: from feature adoption to NPS to retention, and use data to drive continuous improvement.
-
Lead local customer discovery: interviews, beta programs, feedback loops, and advisory relationships with key French accounts.
-
Contribute to the global roadmap process with a well-structured, evidence-backed French market perspective, not just as input, but as a force that shapes priorities.
-
Over time, help define what market-specific product management looks like at Sage Active, with the opportunity to lead a small team as the function grows.
-
Frequent on site trips to Paris or Bordeaux might be required
Must-Haves
-
5+ years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a strong track record of owning and shipping features end-to-end.
-
Native-level French and full professional fluency in English: you can run a customer discovery session in Bordeaux and a sprint review in Barcelona without missing a beat.
-
Deep familiarity with the French business landscape: how SMEs operate, how they buy software, and what frictions they face in financial management or accounting.
-
Strong collaborative instincts, you are as comfortable in a sales call as you are in a sprint planning session, and you know how to get the best out of both.
-
Proven ability to synthesize qualitative customer feedback and quantitative usage data into actionable product decisions.
-
Experience working in a global product organization where local market needs must be balanced against a shared roadmap.
Nice-to-Have
-
Knowledge of French accounting, fiscal, or compliance requirements (VAT, facture electronique, etc.).
-
Experience in a scale-up or product-led growth environment where speed and adaptability matter as much as process.
-
Prior experience mentoring junior PMs or leading a small product team.
-
Familiarity with tools like Pendo, Power BI, or equivalent product analytics platforms.
