Engineering Coordinator

The Engineering Coordinator role is primarily a technical coordination and project-level engineering governance role. The person must have sufficient engineering experience to understand interactions between disciplines, identify inconsistencies and interfaces, challenge Discipline Leads when necessary, and recognize when additional specialist expertise is required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of multiple engineering disciplines: Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, Civil/Structural, HVAC, Architecture, etc.
- Management of technical interfaces and battery limits (definining the difference between 2 packages). between disciplines or packages.
- Coordination of engineering deliverable lists and engineering schedules.
- Organization of or participation in Design Reviews and interdisciplinary reviews.
- Coordination of layouts and/or 3D/BIM models and resolution of clashes/interfaces would be a plus.
- Management of vendor information and integration of vendor packages into the overall design.
- Management of technical queries, scope changes and their multidisciplinary impacts.
- Interaction with Procurement, Construction and/or Commissioning.
- Coordination of internal resources, external engineering companies/design offices and/or suppliers.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, preferably a Master's degree.
- Minimum 8 years of professional engineering experience, with significant exposure to multidisciplinary industrial projects.
- Ideally at least 3 years in a coordination or lead engineering role, such as Engineering Coordinator, Lead Engineer, Engineering Lead, Project Engineer, Package Lead/Package Owner, or equivalent.
- Experience with managing discipline engineers.
- Experience within an EPCM/EPC company, engineering consultancy/design office**. Experience with Life Sciences and Food Industries is required, minimum of 3 years.**
- Experience covering several engineering phases, such as Concept, Basic Design, Detailed Design and, ideally, support to Procurement and Construction.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple engineering disciplines.
- At least 10 people management experience.
