About the role
As a PCB Design Engineer, you translate electronic schematics, mechanical input, and product-related requirements into robust physical PCB designs. You will design for our in-house developed automated test equipment and extension cabinets. You contribute to the schematic design of safety and relay boards. Your work connects electronics, mechanics, production, and compliance requirements into a manufacturable PCB design that performs reliably in demanding environments.
You will work with state-of-the-art design tools to create PCB layouts, define stackups, configure design constraints, and prepare the data required for release, ordering and production. Your designs may need to fulfill digital, analog, high-voltage, high-current, RF, EMC, and EMI requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, ownership, planning, clear communication and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with dedicated engineers across the company and act as a competence holder within the department, helping others find the right design approach and continuously improving the way we design and release PCBs.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of PCB design activities from initial input to a released design package.
- Create electronic schematics and select the right components for PCB design.
- Create detailed PCB layouts, stackups and design constraints that support manufacturable and reliable designs.
- Deliver the required documentation and release data for ordering, production, assembly, panel design, and stencil design.
- Plan and organize your own work, with the freedom and responsibility to determine the most effective way to reach the design release.
- Report progress, risks, dependencies, and open questions clearly to stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Coordinate design reviews and align decisions with electronics, mechanical, production, and project management stakeholders.
- Act proactively when information is incomplete by finding the right input, resolving blockers, and driving the PCB design forward. What we offer
- A performance-based salary that grows with your results
- 33 days of leave per year (including public holidays) to support a healthy work-life balance
- Pension plan and travel allowance for on-site working days
- Focus on personal development with a tailored growth plan

- Free sports facilities on campus to help you stay healthy and fit. What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field
- Strong skills in electronic schematic design, component selection, PCB layout and PCB stackup definition
- 2+ years experience in s similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with constraints, clearance rules, panel design, stencil design and PCB release documentation
- Understanding of PCB production requirements and PCB assembly processes
- Ability to translate schematic intent and engineering documentation into physical constraints and manufacturable layouts
- Basic understanding of digital, analog, high-voltage, high-current, RF, EMC, and EMI design considerations
- Strong spatial insight and the ability to think in 2.5D and 3D when balancing mechanical and electrical constraints
- Ownership, attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with skilled engineers across different disciplines and departments
- Curiosity and learning agility to keep improving PCB design practices, tools and release quality About Prodrive Technologies
