As an SMF Associate, you are responsible for ensuring the availability, accuracy, and consistency of financial instrument and reference data across the end‑to‑end investment chain. You will work on the setup, maintenance, control, and distribution of security master data that is essential for trading, collateral management, risk, and regulatory reporting. In this role, you act as a bridge between business, data, and technology, combining operational execution with data stewardship and continuous improvement.
What you would do
Financial Instrument Lifecycle Management
- Create, enrich, and maintain financial instrument and reference data
- Ensure correct setup and availability in systems such as EDM, Murex, and Thinkfolio
- Support the setup of securities and derivative structures for transaction processing
Data Quality & Analysis
- Monitor, analyse, and improve data quality
- Perform reconciliations across systems and data providers
- Resolve inconsistencies and apply professional judgement where needed
Technology & Change
- Work with data systems, workflows, and integration layers
- Support testing (UAT) and implementation of system changes
- Translate data and business requirements into structured solutions
Operational Support
- Contribute directly to trading, collateral, risk, and reporting processes
- Resolve data-related issues that may impact business continuity
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
- Contribute to data standards, controls, and documentation
Working Hours & Flexibility
Due to the operational nature of the role, flexibility is important: You participate in a rotational schedule, including:
- Early morning activities (e.g. validating overnight data processing)
- Regular daytime work
- Late-day coverage up to approximately 18:30, on selected days
After onboarding, we offer:
- Hybrid working (combination of office and home)
- Flexibility to organize your working week together with the team
What you bring
This position is suitable for starters and early-career professionals (junior/medior level) who want to grow into a data-driven role within Asset Management.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Data, or IT
- Interest in financial markets and financial instruments
- Strong affinity with data and technology (experience is a plus, curiosity is essential)
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a team within an international environment
