As an Engineer Turbine Control , you will develop, test, and optimize control features for wind turbines. You will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements and control design to simulation, validation, software release, and commissioning support.
Collaborating with engineering teams, project managers, field service, sales, and customers, you will help improve turbine performance, control reliability, and engineering processes.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:* Design, implement, validate, and release turbine-control features based on defined technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain, configurations, test specifications, and release documentation.
- Perform simulations and functional tests to assess turbine loads, performance, and controller behavior.
- Analyze operational data and turbine logs to troubleshoot issues and identify optimization opportunities.
- Tune control software in simulation environments and, when required, at turbine sites.
- Support prototype, retrofit, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities remotely and on-site.
- Provide technical input for project planning, risk assessment, customer discussions, and engineering decisions. Improve turbine-control tools, methods, and development processes while sharing knowledge with colleagues.

For This Role, You Will Need:* A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant engineering or development experience.
- Practical experience with control-system development, testing, troubleshooting, or validation.
- Advanced working knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.
- Strong software development, debugging, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience analyzing technical data and preparing specifications, reports, or test documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Willingness to travel approximately 30 days per year for testing, commissioning, and technical support.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:* Experience with wind-turbine control systems or renewable-energy technologies.
- Understanding of wind-turbine functionality, loads, performance, and control behavior.
- Experience with GH Bladed or comparable simulation and load-analysis software.
- Familiarity with PEPTOOL or similar configuration and parameter-management tools.
- Experience tuning controllers in simulation environments or on operational equipment.
- Knowledge of acceptance testing, interface testing, or D-FMEA methodologies.
- Experience supporting prototype development, retrofit projects, commissioning, or site troubleshooting. Previous collaboration with customers, suppliers, universities, or technology partners.
