Marketing Director
PHYRON AI · Stockholm, Sweden
Apply directly with the employer or job board. Applications are never handled here.
We're building something the automotive world has never seen.
Phyron's AI generates personalised, immersive video tours of every car on a dealership's lot, automatically. We're live across 30+ countries, growing fast, and the product genuinely works. Dealers love it. Buyers convert. The momentum is real.
Marketing has got us this far as a support function. Now it needs to be the growth engine. We're looking for a Marketing Director to build it: someone who owns the whole function, sets the strategy, and still gets into the craft.
The job
You'll own marketing for the whole of Phyron. Strategy, brand, demand, content, events, budget, the team, and the pipeline number. You'll report to the CEO and sit on the senior management team.
It's a global remit. Europe is our base and stays central. The US is growing fastest and is on track to become our biggest market. You'll own both, and the call on where the effort goes.
You'll also be leading people. There's a small, capable team here, and they need a leader who sets a clear direction, coaches them, and gets the best out of them. Coaching and developing this team is one of the most important parts of the job, not a by-product of it.
Six things you'll own:
- The number. The marketing strategy for our next phase, and the marketing-sourced pipeline it delivers. You agree on the target with Sales and you hit it.
- The team. Lead, coach and develop a small team across demand, content and creative. Set the direction, the standards and the priorities, and be someone they genuinely learn from.
- The markets. Keep Europe growing. Build the engine that takes the US to number one. Sharpen who we sell to in each market and adapt the positioning properly, no translation jobs. Run go-to-market with the Product team so launches land commercially.
- An automated growth engine. We automate how we reach the market and we want a leader who thinks that way by default. Work with our CTO to put AI and custom automation across the funnel. Then protect the human parts that earn trust: real relationships, genuine community, content worth reading.
- Brand, content and audience. How Phyron shows up everywhere, with customers and in front of the board. Positioning, PR, thought leadership, social, case studies, and building an audience that genuinely follows us.
- Events. NADA and the rest. Own the plan, the presence, and the pipeline that comes out of them.
What we're looking for
- A senior B2B SaaS marketing leader who has scaled a function internationally through real growth, with US scaling a strong plus
- A people leader and coach. You've built, developed and stretched marketing teams, and people have grown under you
- Commercial. You own the number, not the activity, and you can prove the return
- Strategic and hands-on. You'll write the plan, then you'll build the campaign. Small team, no passengers
- Hands-on with AI and automation workflows. Automation-first by instinct, and clear about where the human touch still wins
- A builder. You've made things that didn't exist before and shaped the market with them: a tool, a scoring or standard others adopt, research people cite. Not just running the standard playbook
- Strong across brand, demand generation, content, and the martech and CRM behind them
- You've scaled marketing across multiple countries, ideally into the US, and you know a new market isn't a translation exercise
- Confident with founders, with the board, and in front of customers
Useful: automotive, martech, or marketplace experience.
We're looking for someone to come in, drive us forward and build a marketing machine. If that's you but you don't tick every box, apply anyway.
Being straight with you
You'll own this outright. We check in, we don't check up. No maze of sign-off, no meetings that exist to schedule other meetings. The pace is quick and ideas go from conversation to live faster than you're probably used to.
Two honest things. It's a small team, so you'll be in the details as often as you're above it. And this is a Director role with a big remit: on strategy, brand and the board narrative.
If you need close direction and constant sign-off, this will stretch you faster than is comfortable.
The details
Stockholm, hybrid from our office. You'll need the right to work in Sweden.
Some travel across our markets, including the US, around 3-4 trips per year.
Interested?
Skip the generic cover letter. Tell us about a marketing function you've built or scaled, what it delivered commercially, and how you've used automation without losing the human touch.
We'd love to hear from you.
