This request is for a replacement Manufacturing Production Team Leader within the Reinosa plant's generator manufacturing unit. The role is critical for providing direct, on-the-floor supervision to a team of production workers, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to production targets. To meet these objectives, this role definition focuses on three core areas: direct team leadership and performance management, oversight of daily production operations, and the enforcement of quality and safety standards. This structure ensures the team leader effectively manages their team to deliver on key manufacturing metrics. Given the focus on operational execution and team supervision, the ideal candidate will possess significant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, coupled with strong knowledge of production processes and quality control. Demonstrable leadership skills and a commitment to safety are essential requirements for success in this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supervise daily activities of the manufacturing production team to meet established production targets.
- Set operational objectives, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Monitor production workflow to consistently meet schedules, volume, and cost targets.
- Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues on the production line, coordinating with maintenance and engineering for resolution.
- Enforce strict adherence to quality control standards through regular inspections to identify and rectify product defects.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Kaizen methodologies, while ensuring compliance with EHS regulations.
What You Bring
- Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt and Forklift Certification, demonstrating commitment to quality and safety in manufacturing processes.
- Education: Vocational degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in technical principles.
- Experience: Significant experience in an industrial manufacturing or production environment, preferably within heavy industry, ensuring practical knowledge and expertise.
- Supervisory Skills: Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity, showcasing leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Production Management Skills: Proficient in production planning, workflow management, and Lean manufacturing techniques, driving efficiency and process improvement.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
