Job Description WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer with expertise in React, Typescript, and Next.JS to join our dynamic development team. As an experienced Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the user interface of our web applications using React and related technologies. You will work in an agile team and collaborate with our product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications for COS application in Portfolio Brands
- Strong working experience in Next.js, React, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, Github actions
- Experience in system design, headless CMS, component-driven architectures, e-commerce, SaaS, or large-scale enterprise applications
- Based in Stockholm and come to H&M Office in Stockholm atleast 4 days in a week
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, architects, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and implementation of engineering standards.
- AI First development mindset
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns and state management solutions.
- Strong integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL working with backend services.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing strategies.
- Experience with cloud platforms Azure, or Aws or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

The Portfolio Brands domain enables brand-unique customer experiences and partnership solutions for our four Portfolio Brands. The domain has three areas, PB Digital Experience delivering the e-commerce platform and associated customer facing experience, PB Store Experience enabling our brands to create lasting store experiences for each brand and PB Partnership Solutions supporting PBs growth agenda through external sales.
Digital Experience delivers the e-commerce platform and the ecosystem of composable solutions for our Portfolio Brands, ensuring unique brand experiences can be implemented. The area leads business development and expertise across the e-commerce platform, digital marketing and omni-channel experience, ensuring stable operations as well as strategic vendor management.
COS offers a wardrobe of ready-to-wear, and accessories rooted in exceptional quality and lasting design. The creative soul of the brand is fuelled by a deep connection to modern culture, dynamic global cities and compelling fashion movements. With an emphasis on expert craftsmanship, innovation and materiality, collections are created with a mindful approach, seamlessly blending contemporary and timeless.
Qualifications WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with…
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), and 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Proven work experience as a Frontend Engineer, preferably with a focus on Next.JS
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in system design, headless CMS, component-driven architectures, e-commerce, SaaS, or large-scale enterprise applications
- Experience with React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with Node.js is preferable.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with our clients and gather requirements.
- Familiarity with popular React libraries and frameworks such as Redux, React Router, or Next.js.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Knowledge of frontend build tools and module bundlers such as Webpack or Babel.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
- Experience with backend technologies and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and ability to work closely with designers.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
