We are looking for a Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing Specialist to join our European Finance and Tax organization in Sant Just Desvern.
As a Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing Specialist, you will support the execution of direct tax compliance and transfer pricing activities for assigned legal entities, ensuring compliance with local legislation, OECD transfer pricing guidance, and Bunge's internal tax governance frameworks.
Working closely with regional and global tax teams, you will contribute to accurate tax reporting, transfer pricing documentation, compliance management, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare direct tax deliverables, including monthly and quarterly tax provisions, effective tax rate (ETR) forecasts, year-end tax true-ups, and related journal entries.
- Independently prepare and coordinate corporate income tax return calculations and supporting documentation.
- Calculate and manage withholding tax obligations and support responses to routine tax authority inquiries.
- Monitor and execute direct tax compliance activities for assigned entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Transfer Pricing
- Manage transfer pricing documentation processes for assigned entities.
- Collect, validate, and analyze transfer pricing data.
- Support benchmarking studies and the preparation of transfer pricing reports.
- Prepare transfer pricing returns and compliance filings using available technology tools.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with OECD transfer pricing principles and local regulations.
Controls, Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Perform tax and transfer pricing reconciliations, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and potential control gaps.
- Support tax audits and collaborate with external advisors when required.
- Contribute to automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across tax processes.
- Monitor developments in direct tax and transfer pricing legislation and evaluate potential impacts on assigned entities.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in direct tax, transfer pricing, tax accounting, or a related finance function.
- Experience within a multinational company or shared service environment is preferred.
- Fluent English is required.
- Additional European languages are a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good understanding of direct tax and transfer pricing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience working with SAP (preferably S/4HANA) and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of corporate income tax and withholding tax concepts.
- Introductory knowledge of transfer pricing principles.
- Exposure to tax provisions, reconciliations, and tax accounting processes.
- Practical working knowledge of SAP and Excel.
- Familiarity with OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines is considered an advantage.
