Product Manager – Construction
Dalux · Copenhagen, Denmark

Product Management at Dalux – Built on Real Construction Experience
Dalux continues to grow rapidly, and we're looking for a Product Manager with something particularly important for our Field product: deep knowledge of how construction actually happens on site.
Dalux Field is used every day by contractors, subcontractors, site managers, quality managers, safety professionals, and other construction professionals around the world.
To continue improving these products, we want even more real-world construction experience within our Product organization.
You might already be working in Product Management or construction technology. But you might also currently be a Site Manager, Construction Manager, Project Manager, BIM/VDC Manager, Digital Construction specialist, or similar and be interested in using your industry experience to improve the digital tools used across construction.
For this role, deep construction knowledge and a strong product mindset are more important than previous Product Manager experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Product Discovery: Identify and understand problems experienced by construction professionals and turn them into product opportunities.
- Customer Insights: Spend time with customers and users to understand how work is actually performed on construction sites – not just how processes are supposed to work.
- Domain Expertise: Bring practical construction knowledge into Product and Development and challenge assumptions about real-world workflows.
- Feature Ownership: Lead new capabilities from initial problem discovery through development, release, and validation with users.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, Product Designers, and fellow Product Managers to translate complex construction processes into simple digital experiences.
- Product Prioritization: Balance customer needs, strategic opportunities, technical feasibility, and business impact when deciding what we should build.
- Product Strategy: Help shape the future direction of Dalux Field and identify where technology can fundamentally improve how construction work is performed.
About you
Unlike many Product Manager positions, we don't require you to already be an experienced Product Manager.
What we care deeply about is your understanding of construction.
We believe you:
- Have significant practical experience from construction projects, preferably working close to the construction site.
- Understand the everyday workflows of contractors, subcontractors, site managers, and other on-site stakeholders.
- Have experience with areas such as quality assurance, inspections, defects, health & safety, site coordination, documentation, progress, or similar construction processes.
- Understand the difference between how construction processes are designed and how people actually work on site.
- Are passionate about improving construction through digitalization.
- Are curious, analytical, and naturally interested in understanding why problems occur rather than simply accepting existing processes.
- Can communicate effectively with both construction professionals and technically oriented colleagues.
- Are comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
- Communicate fluently in English, written and spoken.
Previous Product Management or software-development experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.
If you have spent years using construction software and regularly found yourself thinking "surely there must be a better way to do this", this might be an opportunity to help build that better way.
