As we continue to grow and develop our hotel operations, we are looking for a motivated and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure our property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests and employees.
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest areas to the highest operational standards. You will play an important role in ensuring that technical issues are resolved efficiently, preventative maintenance is completed, and our guests experience a comfortable and safe stay.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, solution-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider hotel team.
Key ResponsibilitiesHotel Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform daily maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance checks to reduce operational disruptions.
- Ensure guest rooms are maintained to a high standard and ready for occupancy.
- Support repairs and improvements during ongoing hotel projects and renovations.
Guest Experience Support
- Prioritize maintenance requests that directly impact guest comfort and safety.
- Communicate professionally with guests when entering rooms or resolving maintenance issues.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while minimizing disruption to guests.
- Report recurring issues and recommend solutions to improve hotel operations.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and workplace regulations.
- Maintain safe working practices when using tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Report safety concerns, hazards, or equipment failures immediately.
- Ensure maintenance areas remain clean, organized, and secure.
Communication & Teamwork
- Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Restaurant, and Management teams.
- Update departments regarding completed work and outstanding issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate priorities effectively.
- Support the hotel team during busy periods and operational changes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, or a similar technical role.
- Strong practical knowledge of general repairs and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or building systems.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate in English; additional languages are a plus.

Working Hours
