Cloud Application Production Support
This is your mission
Are you passionate about Cloud Operations, Application Support, and Infrastructure Automation? Then this position is for you.
As a Cloud Application Production Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of critical production platforms. You will work in a dynamic environment, supporting cloud-based applications while contributing to automation initiatives, service resilience, and operational excellence.
Build side:
- Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments
- Contribute to the modernization and containerization of legacy applications
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation best practices
- Support cloud platform deployments and configuration management activities
- Assist in disaster recovery (DR) planning and implementation
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve application reliability and deployment processes
- Train and mentor operations teams on Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and automation practices
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation
Run side:
- Provide Application Production Support for business-critical applications and services
- Handle incidents, service requests, and production support activities within agreed service levels
- Participate in shift rotations, on-call support, and incident management processes
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance to proactively identify issues
- Troubleshoot Linux-based environments and cloud infrastructure components
- Support disaster recovery exercises and business continuity activities
- Ensure platform availability, stability, and performance
- Collaborate with global support and engineering teams to resolve complex issues
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs
This is your background
You have at least 5 years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support, Cloud Engineering, or Software Engineering environments. You have strong troubleshooting skills and are comfortable supporting critical production systems in fast-paced environments.
You enjoy automating operational tasks, improving production stability, and working on modern cloud infrastructures.
This is your expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Linux platforms and command-line tools
- Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies
- Understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) environments
- Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud
- Good understanding of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Travis, Concourse, or similar
- Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment automation
- Experience supporting production environments and critical applications
Nice to have:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294)
- Developing Advanced Automation with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (DO374)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate (nice to have)
- HashiCorp Vault Associate (nice to have)
