As a Senior Site Specialist at ICON, you will serve as a key operational point of contact for investigator sites across the Benelux region, supporting site start-up, maintenance, and close-out activities. You will take ownership of complex site tasks, build strong relationships with site personnel, and help drive a positive and efficient site experience. In addition, you will support local study start-up activities, including CTIS submissions and country-specific regulatory requirements. Given the close collaboration with investigator sites and stakeholders, fluency in Dutch or French and English is essential for success in this role.
What You Will Do:
- Managing advanced site-level activities for investigator sites across the Benelux region, including essential document collection, review, and maintenance for assigned sites and studies.
- Supporting local study start-up activities, including CTIS submissions , regulatory document collection, and coordination of country-specific requirements.
- Acting as a primary liaison for site staff on operational questions, documentation requirements, regulatory processes, and study procedures.
- Ensuring accurate and timely updates of site status, regulatory information, and study data within clinical trial management systems and trackers.
- Coordinating site visits, meetings, and communications with investigator sites in collaboration with CRAs, start-up teams, and project stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve site workflows, enhance site engagement, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members on site support processes, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in clinical research.
- Strong experience in site support, clinical trial administration, study start-up, or similar roles within a CRO, pharmaceutical company, or healthcare environment.
- Working knowledge of clinical trial processes, ICH-GCP guidelines, and site documentation requirements.
- Experience supporting regulatory activities, including CTIS submissions and country-specific start-up requirements , is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple sites, studies, and competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to investigator site support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Fluency in Dutch or French and English is required , as the role involves regular communication and partnership with investigator sites, site personnel, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders across the Benelux region. #LI-MK1
