Cullberg invites highly skilled and versatile dancers to audition for future opportunities and collaborations.

Cullberg is committed to radical and engaging contemporary dance, bringing choreographers from small ensembles and contexts to large stages and wider audiences.

As one of Sweden’s most well-known international dance companies we present choreographers from all over the world and produce high quality contemporary dance. We bring international choreographers to Sweden and dance made in Sweden to the world.

Cullberg will always aspire to take roads less travelled in our pursuit of new ways to present contemporary dance. By daring to remain in the unknown we aim to challenge, expand and get lost in the possibilities of dance.

Kristine Slettevold is the Artistic Director. Cullberg is part of the Swedish National Touring Theatre, Riksteatern.

We are continuously working to make Cullberg a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone who visits or works with us.

Over the coming years, dancers at Cullberg will work with a repertoire that includes works by Faye Driscoll, Ligia Lewis, Renan Martins, and Alexandra Bachzetsis, among others. More information about Cullberg can be found on our website.

We value performers who bring curiosity, generosity, and a willingness to engage with the unknown. Working at Cullberg often involves entering new artistic territories, adapting to different choreographic practices, and navigating processes that evolve over time. We appreciate performers who are open to change, interested in continuous learning, and motivated by collective exploration.

Preference is given to candidates with:

A high level of physical proficiency, artistic versatility, and the capacity to adapt to different choreographic processes, movement practices, and performance contexts.
Experience in developing, contributing to, and creating movement and performative material during creative processes, both independently and collaboratively
Willingness to participate in reflective discussions about the work.
Capacity to work collectively and take responsibility for contributing to a healthy, respectful, and constructive working environment.
High work ethic and the ability to commit to a wide range of different artistic proposals.
Ability to communicate in English.
