BCG Lisbon is an exciting and growing office that delivers best-in-class operations to support the broader BCG business. Lisbon serves as a hub for regional and global functional teams, bringing colleagues together in a dynamic and collaborative environment to support BCG teams and our clients around the world.
Building on the success of our HR Shared Services Center in Lisbon, we continue to grow our team and expand the breadth of HR services and support we provide across the organization.
As an HR Shared Services Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering a high-quality and consistent HR experience to employees across supported geographies. You will manage day-to-day HR requests, employee lifecycle activities, HR administration, and employee data, while partnering closely with local HR teams and other key stakeholders.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our HR Shared Services model by supporting process improvements and participating in regional and global HR initiatives.
YOU'RE GOOD AT:
Delivering Excellent HR Service
- Provide timely, professional, and high-quality HR support to employees and other internal customers.
- Manage day-to-day HR requests, tasks, and queries, resolving issues within your scope and escalating when appropriate.
- Support employee and pay-related administration and ensure employee lifecycle activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee information.
Managing HR Data & Systems
- Maintain accurate, timely, and consistent employee data in Workday and other HR systems, in line with agreed standards and service expectations.
- Ensure HR transactions and employee information are processed with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide data to support HR reporting requirements across supported geographies.
Partnering Across HR & the Business
- Work closely with local HR teams across supported geographies to ensure smooth delivery of transactional HR services.
- Build strong working relationships with employees, HR colleagues, business leaders, and key stakeholders.
- Take a proactive and collaborative approach to ensure timely and professional service delivery.
- Participate in the broader HR community, including regional and global initiatives and projects.
Driving Operational Excellence
- Manage assigned tasks and queries effectively within individual and team workloads and agreed handoffs.
- Follow established HR policies, standards, processes, and service guidelines.
- Identify and support opportunities to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of HR service delivery.
- Demonstrate accountability and ownership from initial request through resolution.
What You'll Bring
Required
- 2+ years of experience in HR Shared Services, HR Operations, or a similar HR service delivery environment.
- Experience working with Workday and ServiceNow.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken; B+ or higher proficiency in both languages is required.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to deliver work accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate within defined timelines.
- A service-oriented and flexible mindset, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively across cultures.
- Strong interpersonal and active-listening skills.
- A high level of accountability, ownership, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Preferred
- Experience supporting HR operations across multiple countries or geographies.
- Experience working in a regional or global HR environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Exposure to HR reporting, process improvement, or regional/global HR initiatives.
